You should do what Phyllis did and switch majors when you get to school.
I’m currently thinking that right now, but my parents are have pretty much my life planned for me in pharmacy. “Stay in school for pharmacy until a few years, then get a part time job so you have experience to get a job so you’ll have a job after. Then when you graduate, we’re going to retire and then we are moving in with you to Houston.” I’m just like… WTF. I didn’t even think that freaking far, and you’re already thinking that I’m planning to move to Houston after?! Plus because I am the youngest, they are clinging onto me for dear life.
I’m already unsure of pharmacy because so many people go into it because it’s easy and there are so many jobs in the world for it. My brothers already said that it’s hard to find jobs now, how will it be like in 6 years?
I want to tell them that I want to change majors (especially before school starts), but like I said, they turned me down before for architecture. Turned down and annoyed me the heck with the same things over and over again, I can’t take it.
Also at Xavier, parents can look at your grades with your consent and just changing my major without them knowing is going to turn into a big diaster.
